Knitting Pattern in English for a Headband in animal print and with a twist in the sizes Small | Large
 
Structure:
The head band is worked in stockinette stitch in the round in colourwork (cheetah print). As soon as the individual desired length is reached, all stitches are bound off with a classic knit bind off. Then, the ends of the headband are folded and the twist is sewn together. Because the headband is designed to be worked in the round, it is especially thick and warm and is looking lovely from both sides (ok, we have the twist, but the fabric is looking nice on both sides). Furthermore – and especially for colourwork-newbies – knitting with 2 colours in stockinette stitch in the round is much easier than back and forth in rows.

Materials:
Main Colour (e. g. Aquamarine or Pearl): 100 | 100 g The Baby Wool by “We Are Knitters“ (112 m/50 g)
Contrast Colour (e. g.Bubblegum or Dark Copper): 100 | 100 g The Baby Wool by “We Are Knitters“ (112 m/50 g)
Note: If you use different yarn, check the yardage to be sure you have the right amount of yarn!
4 mm circular knitting needles or Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)
1 darning needle
Stitch markers or leftovers
 
Measurements:
Width Finished Headband: 11 | 17,5 cm
Recommendation to choose the right size: Size Large is designed to be relatively wide – and as the preferences are always different, it might be too wide for you. Therefore, I recommend to measure one of your favorite headbands and make swatches to figure out whether Size Small or Large will meet your individual taste.
Length Finished Headband: 50-53 | 54 – 57 cm (can be adapted individually)
 
Knitting Tension:
10x10 cm = 23 sts x 30 rs in stockinette stitch in animal print on 4 mm knitting needles (wet blocked)
